Writing Workshops & Experiences
Heart. Soul. Pen. Curated Writing Experiences
As the founder of Heart. Soul. Pen.® and Heartifacts™, I create transformational writing and wellness experiences that invite women to return to themselves through creativity, reflection, authentic storytelling, and meaningful connection.
Heart. Soul. Pen. Writing Experiences are designed to complement women’s events, wellness weekends, retreats, and immersive gatherings, offering participants a guided space to slow down, turn inward, uncover what wants to be expressed, and connect more deeply with themselves and one another through strength-based sharing.
Through personalized prompts, guided writing, and optional sharing, participants tap into their own stories, insights, and inner wisdom—creating opportunities for connection, healing, growth, and transformation. Customized workshops and events are available upon request.
Past Workshops:
UCLA Alumni Career Engagement, 2nd Act
As part of UCLA’s Alumni Affairs programming for 50+ Bruins, I was invited to facilitate and participate on a panel entitled, “Life to Literature – A Conversation with Bruin Authors.” The event was designed for alumni navigating career transitions and ‘second acts,’ who were interested in writing their stories. I guided panel participants in a discussion for 200+ registrants that explored the journey from idea to print, the challenges and rewards of writing, and the impact of storytelling.
The Circle, Burbank
I partner with The Circle, Burbank—a women’s private membership club —to bring Heart. Soul. Pen. Writing Experiences to life for their community of ambitious women. Offered on an ongoing basis, this in-person workshop series guides participants through writing and sharing to find their truest voice on the page. Sessions build on the last and, at the same, are designed to be seamlessly accessible to newcomers. Using curated prompts, strength-based feedback, and timed writing exercises, women are guided into allowing the story that wants to be written to come forward onto the page and be witnessed. Participants showcase their creativity to the community in a joyful, bi-annual live salon and literary reading.
The Menopause Monologues Creative Workshops
At the Well Weekend Retreat
For At The Well, a women’s wellness organization rooted in Jewish wisdom, ritual, and community, I brought guided Heart. Soul. Pen. writing and sharing experiences to their retreat programming. Designed to complement movement, meditation, wellness practices, and time for restoration, these writing sessions invited participants to slow down, turn inward, and connect more deeply with themselves and each other through writing and witnessing one another’s stories.
Marco Polo App
For Marco Polo, I lead a one-hour Heart. Soul. Pen. writing and sharing experience designed specifically for their team. Through guided prompts, short-burst writing, and optional sharing, participants stepped away from their usual workday to tap into creativity, reflect in a new way, and connect more authentically with one another. The experience created space for team members to think differently, hear one another beyond their professional roles, and strengthen connection through personal storytelling. No writing experience was necessary—just a willingness to pause, put pen to paper, and see what emerged.
UCLA Women’s Writing Weekend Intensive
Robin Finn joins the celebrated UCLA Writers’ Program to teach this transformational workshop quarterly on campus at UCLA. Known for her signature strength-based approach, Robin creates a nurturing, female-empowered environment where writing emerges naturally and without judgment. Designed for writers of all levels — from those discovering their voice for the first time to seasoned writers seeking renewed inspiration — her workshop combines personalized prompts, in-class writing, guided sharing, and supportive feedback to spark creativity and build confidence. Participants leave with multiple pieces of writing — seeds for future stories or longer projects — and the inspiring experience of being part of a vibrant community of women writers on one of the country’s most iconic campuses

Robin’s warm, lighthearted energy and strengths-based feedback encourages everyone to write freely without fear of judgement, and often to continue on the work they create during the workshops.”

“I thought I hated writing. In less than an hour, Robin turned that around. I got to be creative, I got to laugh, and I got to connect with my colleagues. I even lost track of time. Turns out that writing is fun and it’s for everyone.”
–Participant, Marco Polo app
“In our writing workshop with the wonderful Robin Finn, we wrote about ourselves and our journeys using her prompts and guidance. Many of us shared our writing, and it was an incredibly moving, beautiful and bonding evening. We often express things in writing which we don’t give voice to. This was a powerful opportunity to do that. We will do another one!”
–Chana Heller, Director Jewish Women’s Initiative, Aish HaTorah
“Midlife is a time of ‘ughs and fabulosities.’ Heart. Soul. Pen. will help women dig deep to rediscover the power of their authentic voice and unleash the inner sparkle that is uniquely their own. Buckle up, it’s time to write and unleash the storyteller within!”
—Dr. Sarah Milken, “The Flexible Neurotic” and host of the Midlife Reinvention Podcast
“Robin is amazing! I never realized how writing could play such an important part of self-expression. Her exercises were thoughtful, and her insight was inspiring. Everyone in the group loved it – including me! We will definitely be doing this again.”
–Corey Spiegel, Founder of FindYourLightHouse.org
